Behind on Your Books After the Extension Date

Catch-up bookkeeping and bookkeeping cleanup for a business that is behind, including when the extension date has passed and the books were not ready. We rebuild from your bank and card statements, as far back as those records go. Banks typically keep seven years. The diagnostic is $499, and it credits toward the rebuild you approve in writing.

US-based · CPA-reviewed · Real records only · Fixed-fee, quoted in writing

How it works

  1. 1You tell us how far behind you are and how many accounts you have.
  2. 2We rebuild and reconcile every period from your actual statements.
  3. 3A US-based CPA reviews everything before it comes back to you.
  4. 4You hand clean, tax-ready books to your preparer and file.

Start with a $499 diagnostic

Read-only access to your records. We change nothing. Within days you get a written findings report: exactly what is broken and missing, with dollar amounts, and a fixed quote to fix it. The $499 credits toward the work.

What you get back for each rebuilt year

Complete general ledger, trial balance, P&L, balance sheet, reconciliations, and a full log explaining every categorization decision so nothing is a black box when it is time to file. The sample pack is a monthly set of those same statements. A rebuild includes them for each year we reconstruct.

Why owners hand this to us

  • ✓All work is US-based and reviewed by a CPA before delivery.
  • ✓Fixed fees, no hourly surprises. The number you approve is the number you pay.
  • ✓We never estimate. Anything without a record is flagged for your preparer, on paper.

After the rebuild, never fall behind again

Once your books are current, we can keep them that way. Ongoing monthly bookkeeping is a separate offer: same records-first standard, same CPA review, a complete package every month. Ask about monthly delivery on your quote call if you want both.

Already have an accountant?

Keep them. We rebuild, they review and file. We work behind preparers every day and will coordinate with yours directly if you want.

Catch-up questions

How much does catch-up bookkeeping cost?

A $499 diagnostic is the only published fee. It credits toward the rebuild. The rebuild itself is a fixed quote per file, based on years behind and how many accounts are involved. You approve that number in writing before work starts.

How do I catch up on a year, or several years, of bookkeeping?

Send the bank and card statements for the periods that are behind. We rebuild each period from those records, and a licensed CPA reviews the file before you see it. Banks typically keep seven years of statements. Anything without a record is named in a gap report. We do not estimate it.

Is a bookkeeping cleanup the same as a full rebuild?

A cleanup brings a messy or incomplete file current from the statements. If the software file is dead, or the years are simply gone, that file is a reconstruction. Both start with the same $499 diagnostic, and both are quoted in writing before the work starts.
