The Accounting Behind the Estate, Prepared
An estate or trust does not close until the accounting is filed and approved. The accounting cannot be prepared until someone reconstructs the records from the actual bank and brokerage statements. That is the step we do.
Autonomi Books rebuilds the underlying records for estates, trusts, and conservatorships, then prepares the accounting in the format you specify. We work from statements, not from what anyone remembers. A licensed CPA reviews every file before it reaches you.

How the Work Gets Done
- 1
Send us what exists
Bank, brokerage, and card statements for the period, plus whatever is already in the file. Partial records are normal and are not a problem.
- 2
We tell you what can be reconstructed
You get a written diagnostic: what the records actually support, what is missing, and what it would take to close the gaps. The diagnostic is $499 and it credits in full against the reconstruction if you move forward.
- 3
Fixed fee, in writing
You approve the scope and the price before any reconstruction work begins. No hourly billing and no revised estimates partway through.
- 4
You get the accounting
Rebuilt records, reconciled to the statements, with a written Reasoning Log behind every decision and a licensed CPA sign-off. Delivered to you.
What You Get Back
- ✓Reconstructed ledgers for the period, built from the statements
- ✓Reconciliations that tie to those statements
- ✓A written Reasoning Log behind every categorization decision
- ✓An exceptions report naming anything that could not be substantiated, and why
- ✓The accounting itself, in the format you specify
Reviewed and signed off by Jade Wang, CPA.
Where This Usually Comes Up
The pattern is almost always the same. The legal work is ready and the numbers are not.
- ✓Years of activity in an estate and nobody kept books
- ✓A prior bookkeeper, or the decedent, left records that are partial at best
- ✓Beneficiaries are asking questions the current numbers cannot answer
- ✓The matter is stalled and the hours it would take to fix this in-house are worth more spent elsewhere
When the Estate Holds Entities
Holding companies, LLCs, rental partnerships, and operating businesses often sit inside a single estate or a single client structure. Each one carries its own books and its own gaps, kept by different people to different conventions. We reconstruct them and bring them onto one consistent basis, so the reporting underneath the plan holds together instead of being reconciled after the fact.
What We Do Not Do
We do not give legal advice. We do not appear in court. We do not contact the IRS or any tax authority, and nothing we produce is transmitted to one by us. Everything goes to you. Your client relationship and your professional judgment stay yours.
